Flowers are like nature's little mood boosters—bursting with color, fragrance, and charm. From the sunny daffodils that shout "Spring is here!" to the classic roses that whisper romance, flowers have a magical way of brightening even the dullest of days. Whether you're planting them in your garden or receiving them as a sweet surprise, they have this amazing ability to turn any space into a mini paradise. They're nature's version of a smile, and let's be honest, who can resist a bouquet that instantly makes you feel like you’re living in a Pinterest-perfect world?
We’ve been growing our garden for four years now, and I have to say, it’s been quite the journey. As a kid, I used to help my dad with his garden, and I always knew that when I had my own house and land, a garden would be at the top of my list. This year, I decided to take it up a notch with a new project—a cut flower patch! I’ve always been a huge fan of flowers, and I know how much the bees appreciate them, so we thought, "Why not?" We started with a few varieties: sunflowers, zinnias, petunias, and a lone perennial, the Black-Eyed Susan. They turned out beautifully, and we had an endless supply of bouquets to brighten up the house all summer.
Flower prep.
flowers need lots of attention. the key to having beautiful blooms is to start them early. We have a little portable green house inside the house equiped with trays and lights. All different flowers have a different have a different maturity time.
Now, I'm wondering… what flowers should I add to the garden next year to keep the good times (and blooms) rolling?
